Love Your Friday

Ok so Valentine's Day is over but we don't have to be told when we can tell someone we love them do we? We can tell them any time!

I have a little tag love card today as it is Friday and we all love Friday!

I've used the Kurepunch medium Punch to make the cute hearts and the colour is all added with ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens and the little ribbons are also from Kuretake.

Hope you enjoy your Friday and that it is full of love for you!

Cute Card Thursday - Shiny Happy People

It's Cute Card Thursday day today and this week it is all about Shiny Happy Cards - adding something shiny things to your makes and the sponsor this week is Tiddly Inks.

For my make this week I have used the super cute Tiddly Inks Big Bad Dad

For my shiny thing (apart from the fact he is a shiny robot of course!) I've added touches of sparkle with the Kuretake ZIG Wink Of Stella pens to the cogs.

Have a shiny Thursday.

Mixing My Styles

A little light-hearted Springy ATC make today. For my Make The Day Special DT make this week I've used the vintage look stamps from the Unity and Cosmo Cricket De-Lovely Childhood Kit and matched them with a more contemporary kraft, fabric, button and Bakers Twine look.

Can you describe it as Contemporary Vintage? Do those two words cancel each other out?

Enjoy your contemporary vintage Tuesday!

Industrial Grunge On A Saturday

I've been getting into industrial grunge with Tando Creative alterables. Elaine has lots of fabulous Alterable items in Quixotic Paperie that are great fun to play with!

I love getting a little messy with paints so this is the perfect make for me with painted jute and grunged foil!

Easy to do, cover some card with kitchen foil and emboss with an embossing folder through your die-cutting machine.

Fun bit, add black paint! Messy!

Wipe off most of the paint to give the grunged look.

You can do anything you like with the Tando Creative items, paint them, cover them with papers all sorts of things. I've added texture with Golden Molding paste on mine and then painted it with acrylic paints.

Finishing by adding a dollop of red paint and Glossy Accents to the two top hearts.

If you are into birdhouses then check out the Tando Creative ones - so cute!

Enjoy playing!

Love Cards For You

Erm anyone seen where this week has gone? Good grief, how come it is Friday already?

I'm showing the love again today. Hearts are my thing so February is great for my creative muse!

Doesn't have to be a Valentine's card but a card to show you love someone, or are thinking of someone, for you today.

This little love card was made by using the heart shapes punched with a Kurepunch Medium Heart as a mask on a one inch square block stamp. I then added colour with the ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens and spritzed with water before stamping. It almost gives a tie-dye effect doesn't it?

Right off to make the most of Friday before the week disappears completely!

Have fun.

Cute Card Thursday

Hey Guys, up for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge this week? We have Hearts and Flowers to fit with the month of love and the sponsors this week are Simon Says Stamp.

Ok so I haven't really gone with the whole Valentine's theme for my DT make today but I have gone with the Hearts and Flowers (on the paper). You still need to give this poor guy some love - he is ill after all!

The image is one of the monsters from Paper Make-Up Stamps that you can get from Quixotic Paperie. His name is Flubu and he comes with the 'Sorry you feel so icky' sentiment!

Oh bless him!

Have a hearts and flowers day!

Love Shrine Baby!

Some of my fellow DT members from when I was working for The Altered Element run a fabulous Altering Challenge blog called Alter It Monthly and I thought that I would join in with this months challenge which is Shrines, Nichos, Altars and Dream boxes.

I've made a little modern day mixed media Shrine for the month of LOVE

Made from paints, Kuretake products, tissues, tape and paper and a bit of old food packaging.

The main heart is embossed with ZIG Emboss Rich Red powder and stamped into. The little embossed cherubs where made with the Kurepunch medium Angel and the little hearts were punched with the Kurepunch small Funky Heart.

All the gold colours you see where added with the ZIG Calligraphy Metallic markers and I added some extra sparkle on the little hearts with the ZIG Wink Of Stella.

The tag was coloured using the ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens and the little hearts and the tag are all floating as if by magic (ok - it's 'invisible' thread) in the Magic Love Shrine.

Enjoy the month of Love!

Catch you later.

Twinkle On A Tuesday

Lots of twinkle in my Make The Day Special makes today, they are Twinchies made from card and fabric and decorated with stamps from the {Ippity} Moon Beam and Heart String and the Unity Wishes and Kisses. I've called them 'Creative Hearts and Stars'.

The background was made by layering small pieces of calico fabric onto a piece of card with Sparkle Mod Podge. Once the glue had dried the card was split in half and painted with acrylic paint.

I stamped out the background hearts and stars then highlighted the stamp work with ZIG Wink Of Stella pens from Kuretake for even more sparkle.

There you have it a nice sparkly, textured background!

Have a Twinkly Twinchies Tuesday

Sunday Round-Up

One of the things I LOVE about this Arty, Crafty Blogging journey is the wonderful and generous people I have met along the way.

For instance I have recently been sent some lovely Random Acts of Kindness (RAK), the first one from the fabulous Tatiana from Scrap Domna blogging in Russia. We recently swapped ATC's and look at the fabulous interactive ATC she sent me:

Love it! Notice that I've set the mood-meter on 'I'm going to eat chocolate' - well a girl can wish can't she?

Tatiana also sent me a wonderful Christmas card but because of our problems with the mail I didn't get it until January! Also in the RAK was a wonderful old Russian coin which is now one of my prized possessions! Thank you so much Tatiana!

My second RAK was a gorgeous thank you card from the wonderful Kevin over at McCrafty's Cards:

What a beauty! Kevin won my recent blog candy and used the stamp on this beautiful card! Thank you Kevin she is sitting on my windowsill at this very minute.

I'm feeling very lucky!

Another thing I LOVE about Arty, Crafty blogging is how we all get inspired and pass on inspiration on our journey. You might remember my mixed media tags for Make The Day Special recently:

I was tickled pink to be told that my tags inspired other people in some of their makes. The first up is my Make The Day Special DT buddy She who made the beautiful tag you can find on her blog Rubber Addict. The next make inspired by these tags is the wonderful Shrine you can find made by Lesley over at Harmony Road Studio.

Gorgeous work! Do pop to their blogs and share some love!

What a lovely and supportive Arty, Crafty community we are building! I'm always blown away by the amazing art that people do and I have learnt so much from everyone, it is lovely to be able to pass it all on as well.

Before I leave you to your Sundays I just have two more things to mention.

If you have your March Craft Stamper you might have spotted lots of makes using stamps from Make The Day Special, one of them from little old me!

It's another in the my line of handmade Art Journals, which I'm quite into at the moment, you can see another one on my One World One Heart post.

That brings me neatly to the last thing I was going to post about today and that is the One World One Heart (OWOH) event.

So we were talking about the Arty, Crafty blogging community, well OWOH is just a fabulous event to meet new art and craft people.

If you have some time and are looking for some new inspiration then pop on over to Lisa's blog for the participant list. You can just browse through the blogs or if you like there is still time to sign your blog up too.

As added incentive each blog is giving away a 'door prize' and for my giveaway just pop on over to my OWOH post to sign up!

Enjoy the rest of your Creative Sunday.

One Of My Dinosaurs Is Missing!

Oh how I loved saying that!

Well it is, I have a Dino on the loose in the hoose, well flat but that doesn't rhyme, even if you spell it badly!

My Dinotastic card, made for this week's Cute Card Thursday and Quixotic Paperie DT makes uses The Greeting Farm Oliver from the Happy Day kit. Those of you who know this stamp will have, by now, noticed the missing Dino?

*sad face* I coloured him in then he just got away from me as I was cutting out the image. I think he must have just wondered off, it is very hard keeping your eye on these tiny dinos you know! They are very quick :)

Anyhoo...I've used the Prima So Cute paper from Quixotic Paperie. Whilst you are over at Quixotic Paperie you might want to check out the new stock including some beautiful new Prima Paper pads :)

The challenge this week at Cute Card Thursday is 'Banish The Blues' - with Humour and the sponsor is The Stamp Shoppe.

If any of you spot a tiny rampaging blue dino then just send him back to me!

Have a fab Saturday!
