Just A Quickie!

I'm just dropping by to let you know that Sarah's My Mojo Monthly post has gone live and if you are interested it is little old me answering the Five Mojo Questions this month! Eek! So do pop along to have a good old laugh at my answers LOL!  Not that I'm suddenly feeling a bit self conscious or anything *embarrassed grin*.

Also she has some gorgeous ideas to share and inspire and don't forget you can join in too and share your inspiration and be in with a chance to win goodies!
What more can you ask for?

This month is proving to be another busy one for me as I have the HUGE honour of Guest DT-ing for Pixie Dust Studio and I can't wait to share the upcoming release with you - when I'm allowed to of course (4th Aug keep your eyes peeled!).

Check out the Pixie Dust Studio Blog to keep up-to-date with the news and you will find me joining in with challenges over at the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge blog on Thursdays. Looking forward to seeing you there!

I'm also tickled pink to be a Guest Designer again for Alter It Monthly and I'll be posting about my Alter It Monthly DT piece later this week. But if you want to have a sneaky peek at it before you see it here then pop on over to the Alter It Monthly Blog. I think you might be in for a little surprise!

Oh boy - I can't hang around here gabbing to you lot, I need to get some work done!

Alter It Monthly Guest Designer - Valley Of The Dolls

July is with us and for this month I'm guest designing for Alter It Monthly as my friend Anika is taking a little break this month and asked me if I would like to have a go. I love joining in with the guys over at Alter It Monthly, when I can, so I jumped at the chance!

I think that this month's challenge theme freaked out some of the design team hence why there are some stand in designers! LOL! But it isn't going to freak you out now is it?

Valley Of The DOLLS!

Ok so I did initially think of altering a dolls head but I've got to admit that would have freaked me out a wee bit too. So I scoured Ebay for some doll related articles and found knitting pattern books with lots of lovely doll pictures.

I've altered the back of the smaller mini-canvases from Crafty Individuals and added the bemused picture of a Sindy doll (you remember them? - I've just aged myself haven't I?) with packaging tape transfer.

Added a few of my favourite trinkets, some found objects, some nicely rusted.

The piece is called 'Thoughts In My Head' and now you all have an open view into what goes on! Although I think it is actually a little bit more chaotic in there usually!

Do hope you come and have a play over at Alter It Monthly this month the sponsors are The Artistic Stamper.

Have fun with this one.

A Stitch In Time

Better late than never I have my entry into this month's challenge over at Alter It Monthly which is all about Time.

I thought I would go for a crafty notebook for my make this month with a bit of page altering, distressing

and hand stitching.

You still have time to enter but the clock is ticking! Get it?

Erm anyway hope you enjoy your Friday.

Love Shrine Baby!

Some of my fellow DT members from when I was working for The Altered Element run a fabulous Altering Challenge blog called Alter It Monthly and I thought that I would join in with this months challenge which is Shrines, Nichos, Altars and Dream boxes.

I've made a little modern day mixed media Shrine for the month of LOVE

Made from paints, Kuretake products, tissues, tape and paper and a bit of old food packaging.

The main heart is embossed with ZIG Emboss Rich Red powder and stamped into. The little embossed cherubs where made with the Kurepunch medium Angel and the little hearts were punched with the Kurepunch small Funky Heart.

All the gold colours you see where added with the ZIG Calligraphy Metallic markers and I added some extra sparkle on the little hearts with the ZIG Wink Of Stella.

The tag was coloured using the ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens and the little hearts and the tag are all floating as if by magic (ok - it's 'invisible' thread) in the Magic Love Shrine.

Enjoy the month of Love!

Catch you later.
