Looking For Some Ideas With Resist Stamping?

Hello all, hope that where ever you are you have some sunshine because there certainly isn't any here in London. But then if you are living here yourself or watching Wimbledon you would know this too. *sigh*

So I am desperately sneaking sunshine, please send some if you have any spare!

Meanwhile an update on my latest article in Simply Cards and Papercraft issue 99

It is a resist stamping article using several different methods to make a resist, not just heat embossing, so if you fancy expanding your resist stamping techniques it is definitely worth checking out the article.

The article has a wedding theme and uses the yummy wedding set from Lawn Fawn - Happily Ever After available from Make The Day Special I've also added in some Hero Arts stamps and some swirls from the Creative Expressions Funky Floral stamp set for good measure! There are some more ideas for using your ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens too.

Hope you enjoy it.

Right, got to go finish a commission and some blog posts.

Catch you later.

A Tag And A Couple Of Fond Farewells

Hey All, I have a tag for you today using the lovely Paper Smooches Promenade stamp kit available over at the Make The Day Special shop.

I've used the ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens for this make and you might recognise the shape! I did say that it was one of my favourite tag shapes at the moment. You can download a free template for it with my project over at the Make With Me website if you would like to use the same shape.

*****

Well, as this post hinted to in the title I am saying a fond farewell to a couple of my design teams. It has been a tough decision as I've been with both teams practically from their start up and I have enjoyed every minute of it. But it is time to work on some new projects and so I've stepped down from the Make The Special and Quixotic Paperie design teams.

I will miss working with Emily from Make The Day Special and Elaine from Quixotic Paperie they have both been wonderful bosses :) I will also miss all the girls on both of the two fabulous teams, you guys have been the best!

You will still see makes on my blog from both shops of course but for all the latest news don't forget to check out the Make The Day Special and Quixotic Paperie blogs.

Snowy Paper Smooches

Ok so I confess! I have a Christmas Card today, thought I had made my last Christmas card last week but then I had the idea of using stamps from the Paper Smooches Promenade kit, available over at Make The Day Special, with some puff paint to give some snowy touches.

Gives a cute Christmassy feel don't you think?

So I wonder if this is the last Christmas card I will make this year?

Have a fun Tuesday.

Merry And Bright

All Merry and Bright today and with the results of last week's experimenting in the Kim Labs with texture stamping using the ZIG Art and Graphic Twin Pens from Kuretake, also available at Make The Day Special.

The stamp is the Unity Itty Bitty Merry And Bright Set and I've doodled over it with some ZIG Memory System Millenium pens.

Hope you have a Merry and Bright day!

Experimenting With...Paper Texture Stamping

What to do when your mojo has hit rock bottom? Experiment of course! Yep, I am having one of those days again and I need a bit of a creative breather, where I am still working but not having to come up with a finished make.

So I thought I would try out some different stamping textures by stamping with the ZIG Art and Graphic Twin Pens, from Kuretake and also available from Make The Day Special, on different papers in my stash.

The stamp I'm using is the Merry and Bright Unity Itty Bitty stamps also available from Make The Day Special.

I've also been experimenting with my photos again in Photoshop. Bit like the Hipstamatic pictures that were all the rage a year or so ago when everyone started downloading the iPhone app don't you think?

Well that's it from Kim Labs for today.

Hope you are having a good creative Tuesday.

Hey up all, how is your Sunday hopping going? I'm not doing a Sunday Round-Up today but if you are looking for one then Lou has one for you.

All The Joy Of Christmas

Thought I would play with some alcohol inkiness for today's Make The Day Special DT project.

The stamp is the Unity Itty Bitty Silhouette song bird. I love the Itty Bittys, they are such a good price and as they are foam mounted rubber they are so very versatile too.

I used a combination of ZIG Kurecolor Twin Blood Red colour from the 'Dull' kit and the May Green ZIG Kuracolor Ink and layered it on card covered with the Painty Twin Gold.

Have a fabulously creative Tuesday.

Your Ticket To Glitter

Last Tuesday I showed you 'Your Ticket To Jingle' for today's make I've been making more Christmas notelet cards with the Itty Bitty ticket to jingle stamp from Unity available form Make The Day Special.

This time I've broken out the glitter.

I've used ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens, from Kuretake which are also available from Make The Day Special, to stamp with and added a border of glitter with the ZIG 2 Way Glue pen on the ticket.

Right, I've got to go and clean up all the glitter!

Have a glittery day.

Your Ticket To Jingle

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way with this Itty Bitty ticket to jingle stamp from Unity available form Make The Day Special

It is one of three fab ticket stamps in the set and you can use them together or apart like this little Clean and Simple Christmas Card.

Yep - more CAS from me, I can't resist!

I've used ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens, colours 9, 29 and 260, from Kuretake which are also available from Make The Day Special, to stamp with.

Have a jingly day.

Sunshiney Day

I'm obviously in a Clean and Simple mood with my makes at the moment and as today is a beautifully sunny Autumnal day I thought this little notelet would fit the bill!

The stamp is from The Cat's Pajamas range over at Make The Day Special.

I hope you are having a beautifully Sunshiney Tuesday.

I love her button eyes and owl friend!

Catch you all later.

A Little Teddy With A Big Punch!

My title is a bit of a play on words today. It isn't a teddy that punches, its a teddy punch! One of the Kuratake Kurepunch range to be precise!

Ok so I'm not so good with the word play!

But how about this for a congratulations card or a new baby card?

He is the Kurepunch Small - Baby Bear and he is ever so cute, even has a little bow tie!

Dinky!

So this is how grey mad I am at the moment (see yesterday's post for more grey madness) - the faux border stitching was done with a ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pen in none other than grey of course! You can get the pens over at Make The Day Special.

Catch you later amphibious reptiles (Alligator...! Catch you later Alligator - in a while Crocodile! What? You don't say that? Common phrase in our household)

Playing With Grey

A bunch of flowers for you all today and this is my DT make for Make The Day Special. The flowers are from the Flourishes range of beautiful stamps these ones are the Zinnia Kit.

I've fallen in love with colouring with greys, you can get all sorts of effects with greys, they are so useful. I used a bit of watercolouring with the ZIG Art and Graphic Twin Pens to colour
this make.

The pop of yellow really jumps at you doesn't it?

The lovely sentiment is also from the Flourishes Zinnia kit.

Hope you have a day touched with kindness.

Oooo, Yummy Stamps...

Confession time! I haven't had a chance to make my DT project this week for Make The Day Special so I thought I would pop in to show you some of the yummy stamps available over in the Make The Day Special shop instead!

I know! So evil putting more stamps on your wish list!

So have you seen these fabby Halloween stamps from Lawn Fawn?

So cute and I love the faces on the ghosts!

What about these make your own Snowmen stamps also from Lawn Fawn! Cool!

Now I have a bit of a thing for maps so the Travel Notes stamp set from Unity / Simple Stories is perfect!

I could go on for ages but I think I will show one more before I go!

This one is from Flourishes and is called Sweet Days Of Summer and is very on trend with the Silhouettes! So sweet!

Have you got any favourites over at Make The Day Special?

What is on your wish list?
If you are anything like me your wish list is probably a mile long at least!

Well have fun wish listing!

Buzz Buzz Buzz

Buzzy Buzzy Buzz, the last sounds of Summer buzzing on by, well actually there are no sounds of Summer as the wind and rain pelts against my window! Well let us just pretend that it is still Summer shall we?

I have my Summery DT make for Make The Day Special this week. I've used one of the new stamp sets from Paper Smooches, have you seen them yet? Very cute, this set is called 'Giddy Bugs'.

I stamped the sentiment, also from the kit, and coloured the image with ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens from Kuretake which you can get from Make The Day Special. There is a little touch of glitter on the wings.

Right well I need to buzz off now.
Hope you all have a good Tuesday.

Go With Your Heart

Hope you all had a good long weekend, did lots of fun relaxing and art making. I have my Make The Day Special project for this week and I went with a grungy, shabby chic tag using the Unity Itty Bitty and Authentique Co-branded stamp Go With Your Heart.

Such a pretty stamp. I've used the ZIG Black Sparkle Embossing Powder to emboss the stamp on top of an acetate panel treated with Eco-Green acrylic paint and ZIG Alcohol Inks which are also known as their Kurecolor Refill Inks.

The papers are from the Prima 6x6inch Printery paper pack (which I am totally in love with!) and then added some pearls to finish the piece.

Have you checked out some of the new stamps in the Make The Day Special shop? Here are some of them:

Paper Smooches

PICTURES OF THESE STAMPS HAVE BEEN REMOVED - people have been pinning these pictures into their 'Digital-stamps and Printable' boards on Pinterest BUT THEY ARE NOT digi-stamps they are copyright protected images.

Please respect people's copyright - not respecting copyright is stealing.

Which are your favourites?

Have a great day.

Home Is Where...

Hello folks, how are you all doing today? I'm watching the rain on the window and happy to be at home today :)

Perfect day for a Home is Where the Heart is card :) This stamp is one of the co-branded Itty Bitty stamps from Unity.

I've used the ZIG Art And Graphic Twin Pens from Kuretake to stamp the image and you can now get these pens over at Make The Day Special! Wahoo!

Hope it is sunny where you are.

Cruising Through Life

I thought I would try something a little different today for my Make The Day Special make. I've stamped out and coloured the Lawn Fawn Cruising Through Life bicycle stamp directly onto some designer paper.

If you look very closely you can see that the Basic Grey paper I've used has little bicycles on it - I thought that was perfect for the stamp!

I really like the sentiment that comes with this kit.

Have you tried stamping and colouring stamped images onto designer paper? What do you think, do you like the effect?

Have a fun and creative Tuesday.
