Blitsy Giveaways And Holiday DIY Craft

I already did a shout out for the Blitsy run up to Black Friday event in my last 'As Featured On Blitsy' make but the event is so HUGE that I thought it deserved a full blog post just to be sure you don't miss it!

I'm on the Blitsy Creative team and also part of their affiliate program (so there are affiliate links in this post) and I've shared some tips before on how to get the most out of buying from Blitsy if you are outside the US, but this event is a biggy so if you aren't already signed up to Blitsy you might want to go do it now, it's free to sign up btw.

I'm pretty excited about it 'coz I can enter all the giveaways and competitions too. Actually why am I telling you all about it? It decreases my chances of winning! LOL! Only joking! OF COURSE you should go join in, there is just so much going on!

Ok, so for starters Blitsy is having a giveaway of yummy craft products EVERYDAY up until Black Friday in the Blitsy Black Friday Countdown.

Then there is the Golden Scissors giveaway, where if you find a pair of Blitsy golden scissors (they are real scissors btw) you are entered into a draw for $1000 to spend on your hearts arts and crafts supplies delight at Blitsy. Think Blitsy Wonka and the Creative Factory!

They are giving them away in orders, via their social media channels such as Facebook, Periscope, Instagram etc and on the Golden Scissors sign up page too:

There is also tonnes of DIY Christmas craft ideas in the HoliDIY hub and on the Blitsy blog and in the ideas section too.

Oh and as well as the usual daily sales, which are around only for few days, and the discounted around all the time Everyday items, there is also a little sneak into the Black Friday items with the 'Almost Black Friday' sale!

But I'm still not finished with my heads-up! On Black Friday itself Blitsy will be running more sales events and having a Pajama party over on their Facebook page, so sign up to the event reminder or chat to me on Facebook and I can invite you to the event, so you don't miss it . As Featured On Blitsy - How To Make A Mixed Media Tote Bag

I have a mixed media project over on the Blitsy Blog at the moment with some inspiration to art-up your tote bags.

(I use affiliate links on this blog so some of the links in this posts are affiliated).

Tote bag makeover with art

I've become a bit of a tote bag collector. It was kind of an accident, I started buying them for DIY projects and article work. But then it became a bit of a habit.

They are so useful to have to hand so every now and again I replenish my stocks with a new tote blank ready for decorating or a get given them at blogger events. It seems to be the thing at the moment for many of the events I find myself at to give out canvas tote bags, Yay! Tote Bags! Sometimes these totes have a logo on them but sometimes they are blank, so they get added to my growing collection.

It is a fun project to do - arting-up a tote bag so I hope you will go take a look at the tutorial then give it a go yourself. But don't forget to share the result on the Blitsy Addict Secret Facebook page (Shhh! It's a secret!) or on the Blitsy Inspiration board.

Thanks for popping in.

As Featured On Blitsy - MAMBI The Happy Planner Hacking

If you have been reading my blog this week then you will know that I have been singing the praises of the Me And My Big Ideas (MAMBI) CREATE 365™ The Happy Planner™. I have a new obsession, you can tell can't you?

Well, I have some good news, you can get your very own Happy Planner in the Blitsy sale this weekend. Oh yeah! It's your birthday! Ok, so it might not be your birthday but I'm just getting a bit over excited and all. (By the way I do use affiliate links and there are some in this blog post).

To give you a bit of inspiration of what you can do when you get your Happy Planner I have been planner hacking and I have a tutorial for a collage planner cover over on the Blitsy blog right now.

Buying The Happy Planner From Blitsy

For us in the UK (sorry my readers from other countries, I can't advice on prices for your countries) the Happy Planner from Blitsy including postage and packaging works out around £19.28 (according to xe.com at the time of writing this blog post), that's approximately £12.87 for the planner itself. This means you can drop something else into your shopping basket and not have to worry about import tax and duty as long as you make sure the goods don't cost more than £15 before postage and packaging is added.

But a quick note, again for those in the UK: be careful of using the 40% off codes on Blitsy as when these are added you can get a super deal BUT the original un-discounted retail price of the item is placed on the delivery label, even though you did not pay that amount. That price on the delivery label can tip you over the £15 (approximately $23 depending on exchange rate) import limit and you might get charged duty and import tax even if you did not pay that price (they can only go by what is on the label). So you would need to factor that in when working out if you are saving money or not. I have no idea why this happens when you use the 40% codes and I have pointed it out to the guys at Blitsy and they said they would look into it.

Of course you will have to wait a little longer to get your planner if you order it from Blitsy as it does take a few days for dispatch and then it will take some more days to travel from the US to the UK! But it is only like a 2-3 weeks delay before it is in your hands and sometimes not even that.

So thems me Blitsy shopping tips of the day and if you want some more MAMBI Happy Planner inspiration then check out my other Blitsy Planner hacking blog post or my Me And My Big Ideas CREATE 365™ The Happy Planner™ blog post from Wednesday.

Tutorials For The Long Weekend

I'm in celebratory mood! I've cleared away some deadlines and the long weekend is stretched out ahead! YAY! So as I tuck into a cup of tea and an orange, to stop myself from pigging out on a packet of celebratory biccies, I thought I would drop in and share a quick blog post about two tutorials of mine that you will find on the Blitsy Discovery blog.

If you fancy a bit of inspiration for projects you can get done this Easter weekend then check out my method for making layered stamps...

[There are some affiliate links in this blog post, so if you buy through them I do get a small amount of money at no extra cost to yourself. Thanks for your support!]

Or what about a bit of card making mixing and matching your stamps and dies...

Right, I'm going back to my tea and orange, doesn't have the same ring as tea and biccies does it?
