Sunday Round-Up

Sunday, Sunday, the week is ending and a fresh one is about to begin.

So tell me, how was your week? Did you accomplish everything you set out to do at the start of the week? What plans do you have for the new week?

It has been a very busy week for me, been finishing some DT work, unfortunately I can't show it to you just yet. I've also been playing with paint and ZIG pens from Kuretake and I hope to show you some of that next week.

If you have got your new copy of Simply Cards and Papercraft Issue 80 have a look at page 73, you might recognise little old me with some shabby chic cards using funky foam! They were great fun to do!

Simply Cards & Papercraft 80

Another little toot - Toot Toot! My blog was mentioned in the recent issue of Popular Crafts which was a very nice surprise!

Before I go don't forget my blog candy, you only have until tomorrow (17th January) to sign up!

Enjoy the rest of your day and your planning for the week ahead.

Cute Card Thursday Meets Quixotic Paperie

Cute Card Thursday is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and this week is all about:

Monochrome

Now I started out with good intentions for my Monochrome DT piece, I promise you, but a little bit of extra colour snuck onto my card before I knew it! So ignore the yellow highlights I have a shades of grey card for you!

The Memory Box Pixie papers and Kraftin Kimmies Valentine Willard stamp are all from Quixotic Paperie and I added a bit of stitching with the Sew Easy Tool.

That's me today, thanks for dropping in and see you tomorrow!

Cute Card Thursday - Some Favourite Stash

Hi Guys, It is Cute Card Thursday! Wahoo! First of the year and this one is:

Out With The Old!

Which means you have an excuse to get all your old stash out and use it all up to make way for new stash of course!

Sponsored this week by The Stamp Shoppe.

The card I have to show you today was a commission card and is one of my favourites from December. You might recognise the paper from the K&Co Amy Butler collection, last year or the year before (?) and is still one of my favourite paper packs. I have a small stash of these little bookplates that I got last year and are a favourite bit of metal accessory. The stamp is from the CC Designs Reason For the Season kit from Christmas 2009 and yep, you guessed it - it is another one of my favourites!

So this card is full of my favourites from my stash!

Enjoy going through your stash for this challenge!

My Favourite Makes 2010

Hi Guys, we are at the eve of a New Year and it is only natural that we want to look back over the passing Year. I love hopping around people's blogs at this time of year to see all their favourite makes and I've picked some of my favourites for 2010 to have them in one place.

I was happy to find that I had a few favourites from 2010, you know how it is, sometimes you love what you do and sometimes you hate it (and sometimes both - do you get that?)!

This year I found it quite hard to pick just 10 to show but I had to have a cut off point somewhere!

Enchanted Seamstress Picture from October

Mixed Media Gift Box from August

Life Tree Card from August

Live It Journal Page from September

Timely Rose Card from October

Walk In The Park Notebook from October

Had A Bad Day? Card from May

Mini-Us Anniversary Card from October

Curiouser And Curiouser! Altered Book Page from April

Simply Handmade Card from June

It is fun to see how the work develops and the direction it goes through the year. A lot of my favourite makes seem to fall within the second half of this year.

All years have their creative ups and downs, as I am finding out, and I definitely feel that I had a positive creative jolt in the second half of this year. I put a large portion of this change in my work down to starting to explore art journalling and a change in my own creative mindset.

So it has definitely been a challengeing and interesting year for me. I look forward to seeing where it goes next year not just for me but for all of my crafty/arty bloggy friends, just the best creative community and I'm so happy to be a part of it!

Thank you for popping by and do leave me links to your 2010 catch-up posts so I can have a good nose :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR
