Home Is Where...

Hello folks, how are you all doing today? I'm watching the rain on the window and happy to be at home today :)

Perfect day for a Home is Where the Heart is card :) This stamp is one of the co-branded Itty Bitty stamps from Unity.

I've used the ZIG Art And Graphic Twin Pens from Kuretake to stamp the image and you can now get these pens over at Make The Day Special! Wahoo!

Hope it is sunny where you are.

Ghosts Of Times Past

It is Saturday and that means it is my day on the Quixotic Paperie blog and I have another Artistic Outpost ATC make for you this week. I'm enjoying making these inky ATCs!

This one uses the Artistic Outpost stamp sets Bird Of A Feather and Windows And Doors.

I used Ranger Archival ink Coffee to stamp the girls and the sentiment and Archival Coffee and Sepia to add distress to the make. The door in the background is stamped in Archival Plum on a map collage background that I'd coloured with ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens from Kuretake.

The splash of colour was also provided using ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens this time with some stamping.

Some further detailing was added with embossing and metallic rub.

All great fun but you really should have seen the state of my hands afterwards! I should have taken a photo!

ps. I've linked this up to the Artistic Outpost August referral program and whilst you are there also check out their lovely stuff.

Have an Inky Saturday!

Bright ZIG Art And Graphic Twin Pens From Kuretake

Hi All, in April I introduced you to the ZIG Art and Graphic Twin Pens sets from Kuretake, apologies for the gap - where does the time slip away? - here is the next pack in that series!

This week I have the Bright ZIG Art and Graphic Twin Pens set of 12 gorgeous colours to show you. The sharp eyed of you might have seen these samples already on the recent Create and Craft Kuretake show?

This set has a fabulous range of colours including the primary colours but extending into yummy purples and and greens too.

A fabulous use for these pens is in stamping as I have done with the samples I've shown here, I've directly coloured both the background and focal stamps with the pens.

If you want to learn more about these pens and what you can use them for then hop on over to my ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pen review.

Before I go, don't forget the Cute Card Thursday Challenge this week, sponsored by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I accidentally skipped a week and made a card for next week's theme thinking it was this week - Oops!

So a no-show from me this week at Cute Card Thursday but at least I'm now ahead on next week's DT makes and I get a chance to show this pen set! Silver linings!

Have fun.

All Seasons ZIG Art and Graphic Twin Pens From Kuretake

I was going to post this tomorrow, but I've heard a rumour that there is something going on tomorrow in the UK that will draw most people's attention away from blogs. I know! Hard to believe that something could do that!

I wanted to show you another ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens set from Kuretake. This one is the All Seasons set of six pens and the colours are in the pastel range.

You can catch up with the other ZIG Art and Graphic sets here and for more info on the pens themselves hop along to this post here.

Another gorgeous set of colours, so very versatile and inspiring I thought. Perfect for anyone who loves their pastels and to have a grey colour is very useful as this can add shadow or be blended to give darker hues.

As before I've made two samples with these pens, the first is a little moving home tag, which I've stamped and then coloured the image with the pens.

If you look closely you can see how wonderful the watercolour effect with these pens is when you colour images. I've only lightly added the shading to the houses and windows but you can still see the texture that the pens have given the image. I used the pens directly on the image rather than using a brush or the ZIG Water colour system BrusH2O.

For the next sample I coloured the stamp with the ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens and then stamped the image. I've also coloured some spare card to make a matching matt and layer.

Hope you enjoyed that little look-see for the ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens set

Enjoy the rest of your Thursday and for you guys who have a bank holiday tomorrow - have fun!

Summer ZIG Art And Graphic Twin Pens From Kuretake

Hi All, I have another set of ZIG Art and Graphic Twin Pens from Kuretake to demonstrate today. Last week I showed you the Core Colour pack of four pens and this week I thought I would show you the Summer pack of four pens.

This colour combo is right up my street, the Core colour set is a perfect starter kit but the Summer pack really gives some gorgeous exotic inspiration for those Summer months.

In my first sample I've stamped in archival black and then used the watercolouring aspect of the pens to colour the images. I just love pinks and oranges together.

The second sample uses the fact that you can colour the stamps directly with the ZIG Art and Graphic Twins Pens to get lovely coloured images and some lovely subtle blending effects. Not sure if this photo shows it particularly well but there are touches of orange at the centre of the flowers.

I have a small write-up about the ZIG Art and Graphic Twin Pens that you are welcome to view if you would like to learn more about these pens.

Being a bit quiet on the old blog this week as I'm working on some articles and I can't even show you peeks of those.

Hope you are enjoying your week and getting lots done.

Core Colour ZIG Art and Graphic Pens From Kuretake

Hey guys, I wanted to show you some cards I've recently made for Kuretake to go with their packs of  ZIG Art and Graphic Twin pens.

You guys know how much I love these pens and not just because I am on the Kuretake Design team! If you want to learn more about these pens then have a look at the post I wrote about the water-based dye ink ZIG Art and Graphics Twin pens.

Kuretake do a range of different colours in sets of four, six and twelve pens and I have recently been making samples with some of these sets.

The first set I want to show you is the Core Colours set of four pens (red, green, blue, yellow) which is a great starter set if you just want to try the pens out.

The first sample I made used the pens as they are by colouring shapes, punched with Kurepunchs, with the brush end and writing using the 0.8mm Tip.

The next sample utilises the water-based aspect of these pens and the fact that the ZIG Art and Graphic Twin Pens dye ink mixes nicely. So I did some watercolour washes of ZIG Art and Graphic Twin Pens colour over a clear embossed stamped tag.

The little flower-shaped paper clip and ribbon are both from Kuretake as well.

Have a fun Friday folks and hope you get to do lots of colouring today!
