I've stamped out the sentiment and Love script out on some white textured card then added some stitching and a ruffled ribbon.

The flower and mushroom are also from the kit. I have used distress inks to add a bit of colour, glossy accents on the mushroom and Stickles glue on the flower.

There are some fab sneak peaks on Emily's lovely {Ippity} Inspiration blog of the new releases coming soon - I can't wait :)

Happy Friday to you all.

Wahoo! A make! Today we have my make for this week's Quixotic Paperie Challenge:

Tag It!

This is a birthday card for a friend (hope she isn't looking!).

It will probably be of no surprise to you, I'm sure, that I've used Basic Grey Sugar Rush for this make! The lace is also one of my favs at the moment and is from Quixotic paperie.

The image is CC Designs Swiss Miss Rosalie and I've coloured her with PrismaColor pencils and sansodor blending. I've used Stamps Away Alpha tags for the sentiment (and to meet the challenge!) and added glossy accents to the alpha then sprinkled on lots of glitter. I've also used glossy accents and glitter for the edge of the scalloped matt.

Before you go - just thought I would let you know that Elaine has some further reductions in the clearance section in the shop and there are some fab bargains up for grabs. She also has Shimmerz paints on special offer with 15% off.

Happy Tag Day to you!

Hello Monday

Hello all,

How are you all today? Just thought I would pop by to say hello and let you know that the Monday {Ippity} blog hop is a hopping - I didn't get a chance to make anything for it this week but have a look at the great notebooks Emily has made for the hop.

I'm in the middle of a craft space reorganisation, got some new storage boxes and am now try to get my life sorted - wish me luck :) At the moment we can not move in the flat for crafty clutter and I've lost one of my small circle nesties - gutted - think it might be in the vacuum cleaner LOL!

Well hope you are all having a good Monday. Hopefully my desk will be clear again soon so that I can actually do some work!

Quixotic Paperie Challenge Blog Challenge No. 12

Quixotic Paperie Challenge day and this week we have a special for you!

I Believe In Fairies

All the DT have used the lovely CC Designs Sweet November Fairies available at Quixotic Paperie and designed by Amy Young. Amy has joined us this week along with some other special guests so pop over to the blog to take a peak at all the lovely inspiration.

So here is my DT make this week and what started as a bookmark soon turned into a hanger!

I've used the super gorgeous Gossamer Cornward stamp for my make and coloured her with distress inks and pearlescent inks and glitter. I was going for a bit of a shabby chic look so ruffled some of the Ivory Lace from Quixotic Paperie and used some tearing to make the flower and leaves.

I've used glossy accents to highlight her wings, eyes and shoes. Putting dabs of pearl glue on the ends of her dress.

The flower is finished with a Prima sequin flower centre. I've used Basic Grey Sugar Rush papers (yes - Sugar Rush again!) with an old book page from a book I am altering (more of that later!) and a little bit of sewing.

Have a Fairy day :)

Where Did The Weekend Go?

I have no idea where the weekend went. I've been really busy at the moment so I have no makes to show you but I thought I would put up a picture from a trip to the Dumfries and Galloway area in Scotland at the weekend to see my Grandmother and a friend.

We had just a lovely time, it is a shock to the system to be back in London, if a touch warmer!

Will be back tomorrow with the Quixotic Paperie Challenge.

Edit: The island you can see in the piccy is Ailsa Craig. Thanks Judy for reminding me of it's name - was trying to remember! BTW Judy is looking for crafty donations for a trip to the Philippines - it a fab cause well worth a look!

Back to my old faithfuls - PrismaColor pencils for today's offering! Another make from the CHA Relay at The Greeting Farm and this little guy is called Toby Cub.

I'm trying to use up those little scraps of papers again and this one uses some yellow pearlescent card from an old chocolate box and a scrap of gingham paper I printed ages ago :)

Another Try At Digital Colouring

Friday - Well I don't know about you but I feel like it has been one of those busy weeks so I'm glad it is the weekend!

Here is a card I did earlier in the week for the CHA relay at The Greeting Farm. It might not be one of my more interesting cards (!) but I just wanted to show you another example of some digital colouring I've been trying out.

Similar to the Mer Ian card from Tuesday, Charlotte has been coloured in Photoshop Elements and then printed out. I think some of my shading was a little too subtle and did not survive the printing.

Just a bit of fun for a Friday LOL!

You may have guessed the papers already? Basic Grey Origins from Quixotic Paperie. I've distressed the edges a bit with my seam ripper and gone a little mad with my sewing machine!

Inky Impressions Challenges No. 28

Morning All, have you seen the Inky Impressions Challenge for the next two weeks? It is all about Luuurve (aka: Love).

Think Valentine!

Show the Luurve by adding hearts and pink to your project! But it doesn't just have to be for Valentine's day, it could be for anniversaries, thinking of you etc.

Here is my DT make for the challenge and before you scroll down, there is a hidden space for a secret message to your loved one on this card...can you spot it? ;)

I've used Angelica's Lantern and matched her with Basic Grey Sugar Rush. I've used a doily to trim the heart shape and then hand stitched a border using the stitch in this tutorial here and beads.

Angelica has been coloured with PrismaColor pencils and Sansodor.

The sentiment was printed and I've doodled with Prismacolor Premier Illustration Marker and used a beaded straight stitch and button to decorate the sentiment seal.

So what about the secret message space?

Did you spot the beads sticking out from the top of the heart? Well the heart is a little pocket and if you pull the beads you will find a little piece of Sugar Rush paper stamped on the back with lines and decorated with glittery swirls and an itsy bitsy tassel.

You can write a secret message to your loved one and no one else will ever have to know - Tee Hee :)

I've popped this new card into my Etsy shop.

Have a Love Filled day
Kim
