Wonderful Stamping Batik

Welcome weekend hoppers, ready for some colour today? If you popped into my blog yesterday you would have seen that I was a little distracted! Some new colour had arrived and I was getting my ink on.

You would also have noted that I was late with my Creative Expressions make this week. Doh! having promised to post it on Thursday but then getting tied-up finishing a project meant that I missed my self-imposed deadline and had a Blog Post Fail on my hands.

But no more! Here is this week's Creative Expressions make using the inky colour that I am now obsessed with (see yesterday's post).

It's a card using the Sam Poole Butterfly Girl Stamp plate, there are a lot of lovely texture and pattern stamps in this set so perfect for this card and a bit of surface design playing.

I thought the result looked like Textile Batik, what do you think?

I've used dip pen and ink to finish the card, another of my obsessions at the moment.

The sentiment is another one from Sam Poole's Art Sayings Stamp set, yes I do use that set a lot and no I still haven't cut it up!

Hope you enjoyed my little show and tell, just off to clean the colour off of my hands!

Catch you later Art-inators!
