Quixotic Paperie Challenge Blog Challenge No. 37

Back again with my DT make for this week's Quixotic Paperie challenge which has been chosen by Judy. What an interesting challenge this one is, I think you are going to like it:

'Something old, something new,
something borrowed, something blue'

Either make a wedding make or incorporate one of these elements into your make...old, new, borrowed or blue!

Right, so what have I done for this challenge? Well the ribbon is 'something old' I've had it for years! The acetate was 'something borrowed' from the front of a folder cover. My colour scheme has flashes of 'something blue' and the tag is to put on 'something new' i.e. a present! Think I managed to cover it all this week!

The lovely butterfly and swirls are available from Quixotic Paperie and are from the beautiful Stempelglede Ornamental Butterfly stamp set and the papers are from the gorgeous My Mind's Eye Meadowlark Dawn. I've used the fabulous Bow Easy Template for my bow.

Before I go I thought you might like to know that Elaine has recently had a delivery of lots of new goodies for Quixotic Paperie including Echo Park Papers, Prima Papers and some fab new Paintable clear stamps from Prima - love the Butterfly one, so gorgeous! I'm obviously in a butterfly mood at the moment.

Have fun looking at all the yummy new stuff!
Kim

Materials:
Ink - Staz-on black
Usual Suspects - scissors; double-sided tape
Other - Bow Easy Template; Watercolour paints; Acetate; Crop-a-dile; eyelet; Fiskars border punch

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

You are all wonderful, thanks for the encouragement and kind words you have been sending me about my missing mojo. It is also comforting to know that I'm not the only one spending to much time procrastinating and not enough time doing!

Well here I am again with a picture to show you how incredibly disorganised my craft desk is for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. Pop over to Julia's blog to join in the fun and show us your mess!

So what is on my work desk? Part of three ongoing projects and three pairs of scissors, which is only a small proportion of my scissor collection (sheepish grin!).

Perhaps the lack of mojo is due to my lack of organisation at the moment? What do you think?

Have fun you all.
Back later with my Quixotic Paperie Challenge make.

Personal Challenge Update And More Gorgeous New Stamps

Day Two of my personal challenge to get more crafting done and less procrastination and I have managed to partially finish two of my three DT pieces for this week. I've also managed to get started on a couple of new art journaling pages, but I still managed to fit a lot of procrastinating in as well, old habits die hard!

Whilst I finish my DT makes I thought I would give you another shop update this time from Make The Day Special.

Emily has some lovely and different stamps from Suzi Blu over at the shop, they would look fabulous on any card but as I'm into journaling at the moment I was thinking that they would look wonderful on a journal page too.

There are lots of lovely Lawn Fawn Stamps available.

Have you seen the pretty Flourishes Stamps yet?

If anyone has tips on how to stop the procrastination demons I would be grateful!

Have a gorgeous day.

Start The Week With A Personal Challenge And Some Shop News

Ok so the weekend is over and we have a lovely fresh week stretched out ahead of us. What are your plans for this week? I have a challenge ahead of me this week, I want to re-balance how often I spend time on the computer and how often I spend time making things.

So you might have guessed by the fact that I've not been showing much on my blog at the moment that my Mojo has gone on Holiday and has been there for a while now. I hope that it is having fun - it never sends a postcard!

My challenge this week then is to make, make and make again. I have been doing some art journaling so I might show you some of that if you are lucky.

Meanwhile I thought I would show you some new yummy stock from:

The gorgeously spooky Kraftin' Kimmie stamps are in store.

The super sweet Mo Manning stamps from Stamping Bella are in the house.

The fabulously arty Stempelglede are ready to drool over.

Of course there are lots of other yumminess in store including lots of special offers!

Have fun my fluffy lovelies.
