'Oh My' as George Takei would say, it is an actual post here on my blog about a make that is just on my blog today and not a notice directing you to somewhere else! Well don't get too use to it, I have another heads-up coming up tomorrow!
In the meantime, for today it is my Creative Expressions post for the week and we are back into Christmas again! A bit of an arty/ sparkly Christmas for this one using the Umount Let It Snow Kit.
I've partially covered the front of a kraft card with strips of old book page then used a watercolour ground to lightly seal and cover the paper, you can use Gesso instead.
Then I stamped the bigger Christmas tree from the stamp kit in Distress ink - Broken China and as you have sealed the paper you get a clean image without the ink spreading.
I dried off the image with a heat tool then added some detail with a fine point black marker before adding Stickles.
Once it was dry I stamped the sentiment with Archival Jet Black on the kraft card and tore it out, adding a little bit of the ground (or Gesso) to the raw edges before sticking down.
Before I go, if you are interested in turning your love of craft products into a profession and you live in the East and South-East of England then you might want to checkout the job being advertised by Creative Expressions at the moment.
Have a fun Saturday.
Kim
