I've used the lovely sentiment and flock of butterflies (is the collective term for butterflies a flock?) from the {Ippity} What Matters Most kit and I thought that as I have used Kraft card as a base that I would enter this card into the Gingersnaps Colour Challenge GC52 which is Kraft this month.
I've used a light layer of Gesso on a book page, stamped and embossed the image and then inked over the top.
You might have noticed that I am pretty much obsessed with altering book pages at the moment! But then I did find this wonderful old illustrated encyclopedia in a local charity shop for 50p, perfect for my new obsession!
Have a great book page altering day.
Stamps - {Ippity} What Matters Most
Ink - Archival Black; Versamark, Versacolor various
Usual Suspects - Paper trimmer; Double-sided tape; 3D-foam
Other - Book page; Gesso; Jute; Mod Podge; embossing powder; Kraft card
AbsOlutely lovely Kim! The color is soo vibrant!
ReplyDeleteLove the bright colour and I completely love using book pages too!
ReplyDeleteThe sentiment is something that I need to learn to live by too at the moment.
And I'm pretty sure the collective name for a group of butterflies is a kaleidascope (although I'm unsure of the spelling) which is a fab name for such vibrant creatures.
This is beautiful Kim! I think the sentiment is perfect for so many of us-we all spend too much time worrying about future events etc.
