Ok, Question for you - Is there a limit to the number of blogs you can follow?
Every time I blog hop I find more wonderful blogs I want to follow but today I got an error message saying that I had exceeded my limit of 300 blogs and needed to 'un-follow' some before I could add new ones.
Shock. Horror!
Well as you can imagine I also RSS a fair few to my google reader but it is just easier to follow isn't it? So I've been signing up through the 'follow' tool recently. I shall just have to go back to adding via RSS.
Hey ho.
Well anyway here is an experimental ATC for you. I've used a rub-on on fabric which I then distressed a touch. The background was made by some watercolour stamping onto some tea-stained (as in real tea!) card. The string is coloured with Shimmerz Spritz Truffle, Purple Passion and Shimmerz paint Lilac.
Materials:
Stamp - The Artistic Stamper
Inks - Marvy Le Plume Watercolour pens
Paints - Shimmerz Spritz and Paints
Usual Suspects - Silicone Glue; Paper trimmer
Other - Fabric; Vintage rub-on; Leaf Skeletons; Button; Tea (any excuse for a cup of tea); String
Wow Kim this is just gorgeous and love the vintage look..

ReplyDeleteKim, this is lovely. The tea staining works so well, and I like how you turned it on it's side. I am used to seeing them the other way. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering about any limitations - thanks for clearing that out for me :D I have the same problem, I add a few blogs a day to my list. The biggest problem is if I am away from the computer for a day or two - reading 200-something posts takes time :D but still, I like this much more with my morning cuppa than the depressing "real life" news...

How fun!! A wonderful cute vintage ATC. I wonder if there is also a limit to how many can follow each person. Thanks for the news. LOLOL I had no idea either. I stopped by to tell you also that I have blog candy if you are interested!
ReplyDeleteKim, thank you for your visit to my blog as it brought me here to your very charming site! This piece is so lovely - a rich tapestry of wonderful textures! I have enjoyed my lengthy visit here - I especially appreciate the stitching you incorporate into your work. I'm inspired - now if I can just remember how to thread my sewing machine!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving looking at these cards you do! Each is like a little piece of artwork. Your home must look like a gallery. :) I like how the tea-stained background looks kind of like wood. It really adds to the whole vintage feel of the photograph and button.
ReplyDeleteHi ya Kim !
ReplyDeleteHope you are OK ? About time we had another natter me thinks ! I love your vintage ATC, the image is beautiful in fact, its all just stunning. Why not enter it into this week's Simon Says Challenge as its all about Tim Holtz and being inspired by his works. There is a fantastic prize of a $25 shopping spree again and also a SIGNED piece of Tim Holtz artwork ! Hope you can add this to Mr Linky !
Hugs,
Jo x
Oh wow ... this vintage ATC is stunning. How do you manage to get so much onto such a small space without it looking overcrowded?
