Another Try At Digital Colouring

Friday - Well I don't know about you but I feel like it has been one of those busy weeks so I'm glad it is the weekend!

Here is a card I did earlier in the week for the CHA relay at The Greeting Farm. It might not be one of my more interesting cards (!) but I just wanted to show you another example of some digital colouring I've been trying out.

Similar to the Mer Ian card from Tuesday, Charlotte has been coloured in Photoshop Elements and then printed out. I think some of my shading was a little too subtle and did not survive the printing.

Just a bit of fun for a Friday LOL!
Have a Fabulous Friday You All
Kim

Materials:
Stamp - The Greeting Farm Charlotte
Colouring - Digital colouring
Papers - Digital printout
Usual Suspects - Double-sided tape; Paper trimmer

Inky Impressions Challenges No. 28

Morning All, have you seen the Inky Impressions Challenge for the next two weeks? It is all about Luuurve (aka: Love).

Think Valentine!

Show the Luurve by adding hearts and pink to your project! But it doesn't just have to be for Valentine's day, it could be for anniversaries, thinking of you etc.

Here is my DT make for the challenge and before you scroll down, there is a hidden space for a secret message to your loved one on this card...can you spot it? ;)

I've used Angelica's Lantern and matched her with Basic Grey Sugar Rush. I've used a doily to trim the heart shape and then hand stitched a border using the stitch in this tutorial here and beads.

Angelica has been coloured with PrismaColor pencils and Sansodor.

The sentiment was printed and I've doodled with Prismacolor Premier Illustration Marker and used a beaded straight stitch and button to decorate the sentiment seal.

So what about the secret message space?

Did you spot the beads sticking out from the top of the heart? Well the heart is a little pocket and if you pull the beads you will find a little piece of Sugar Rush paper stamped on the back with lines and decorated with glittery swirls and an itsy bitsy tassel.

You can write a secret message to your loved one and no one else will ever have to know - Tee Hee :)

I've popped this new card into my Etsy shop.

Have a Love Filled day
Kim

Materials:
Stamp - Angelica's Lantern; HOTP swirls and lines
Ink - VersaFine Onyz black
Colouring - PrismaColor Pencils
Usual Suspects - Paper trimmer; Scissors; Double-sided tape
Other - Doily; Beads; thread; Computer; Printer; Button; Stickles glue; Prismacolor Premier Illustration Marker

I've stamped the fabulous Steampunk themed Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp Chester from Quixotic Paperie onto calico and coloured him with coloured pencils. The black trim is a re-purposed piece of trim from an old t-shirt.

I stamped the pocket watch onto a piece of paper then distressed it and I have left the sewing and edges all rough and ready!

Happy Saturday to you all. I have a little bit of stitching for you today. I had a bee in my bonnet about wanting to stitch this The Greeting Farm stamp - don't ask me why but it was an itch I just had to scratch LOL! Now I've done it I'm not so sure about it LOL!

The paper is Cosmo Cricket Early Bird and I've used a Kraft card base, probably one of my favourite combinations at the moment - oh I love my Kraft card - Tee Hee!

The heart sentiment is a doodle in the style of the TGF stamp with a Prismacolor Premier Illustration markers and then layered up on a button with the stamped 'Be Free'. The crochet lace is from Quixotic Paperie and I've cut it in half and threaded it with some ribbon.

Right I'm off to see if I can hunt down the parcel that Royal Mail was supposed to be redelivering to me yesterday, and we didn't even get fresh snow for them to get stuck in. Wish me luck it might be a long hunt!

Have a lovely Saturday

Paper - Cosmo Cricket Early Bird
Usual Suspects - Paper trimmer; silicone glue; double-sided tape
