Show Your Face

Hey Facers, Time for this week's community face share, I hope you all have been having lots of face making fun!

Right let's share some faces.

First up the admin...

Schedule:
  • Focus On Eyes - January 2016 (break out of our normal practice and try different styles of doing eyes such as traditional, cartoon, manga etc. As suggested by Susana Magenheimer)
  • Inspired By - March 2016 (pick fellow Facers to inspire our work this month)

My Share This Week...

A winter-themed face made with paint and Micron pen

My share this week is a mish-mash! This week I've worked on a dumping page in my junk journal that is what I call the pages that I clean off stencils or other tools on. So before I had even started there was a bit of texture and the snowflakes on there from previous projects.

When I was flicking through my journal trying to get inspiration for this week's face this page popped out and so did this face. She is drawn with a Sakura Pigma marker and painted with a mix of PaperArtsy paints and Distress Paints as well as some of the Derwent Graphik line markers too.

I think the snowflake hair looks a little like one of those floral swimming hats from the 50/60's. Is that just me?

    Love your face Kim and I wouldn't have thought about a swimming hat but yes it does a bit, I was made to wear one so I remember the agony :-D! I was aiming for last weeks link up but missed by a day so have posted in this one anyway. Have a good weekend, Chris x

      LOL! I just saw it and thought 'swim hat' :) I remember wearing swim hats and it just seemed an impossible task trying to get them on your head! Thanks for linking Chris, I'm glad you could join in! Kx

    Ha-you're right -that could be a bathing cap! Great journal page Kim. Too bad I'm not eligible for the Cricut; I would LOVE one of those types of machines!

    How well I remember those bathing hats - the green ones looked like cabbages! I love the snowflakes and the great collaged look of this portrait. It's a great idea to compile a journal using mop-up pages too! I'm so looking forward to January and trying out different eye techniques too! So much to learn. xx

    A lovely face Kim - I loved to wear those bathing caps you mentioned as I was a little girl ..lol..
    But her hair doesn't look like these. It's beautiful!
