New Issue of Simple Cards And Papercraft

It is time for the new issue of Simply Cards and Papercraft, say hello to issue 120...

There is a yum looking Prima marketing kit cover gift with this one... Ooooo! I've not seen the magazine yet so can't tell you much about it, but I do know about one article and that is mine which is all about memory keeping and easy pocket photo journal keeping.

I can't wait to see this one as I had great fun putting the article together and I got to put some of  my pocket scrapbook pages together that I've been meaning to do for a while but hadn't done yet. Nothing like a deadline to get you moving on something!

Hope you enjoy the magazine and have a good Saturday.

Magazine Time!

It is magazine time and here is what I will be reading this weekend...

Well first is some catch-up reading with issue 119 of Simply Cards and Papercraft which came out in the first week of January. I know! I am so behind!

Did you spot that this issue comes with a score board this month? Oooo, will have to give that a try! There are some chevron makes from me this month and you all know that it is one of my favourite shapes.

More reading with me tea this weekend and that is issue 103 of Papercraft Essentials.

This month Lee Campbell, editor of Papercraft Essentials, let me go a bit wild with corrugated cardstock! You know I love recycling corrugated card from packaging, I mean just look at my blog banner. But for this article I thought I would go less distressed and more bold and bright and bought in a pack of different coloured corrugated cardstock for a different look. Of course some packaging did sneak in as well!

So I think that brings me all up-to-date with my magazine reading! Hope you enjoy them too. But before I treat myself to my feet-up, tea and read I must get some DT projects photographed and blogged.

Catch you later!

Magazine Time

I am officially on holiday! YAY! I've just got one more make and one more blog post to do then it is mince pies, mulled wine and jingle all the way. I have my reading all lined up and there are two new magazines out that are on the list:

Get Stamping 6 is out with a lovely nature-inspired stamp set.

I have some cards using silhouette stamping in this month. But make sure you checkout the project life article from Stéphanie de Geus (the editor) and Klair Rhomany Scattergood's Art Journaling 101 also caught my eye as I had a quick flick through, to name just a couple of the inspiring articles, there are loads more to your pique interest.

The new issue of Papercraft Essentials, issue 102, is also out.

This year's winner of the Papercrafter of the Year competition is announced and you can find out who won, plus there is inspiration abound from all the DT. So many fabulous makes so I hope that you all enjoy reading through.  Liz McGuire has a really lovely colourful colouring tutorial, bright and beautiful. Tracy Evans has a fab article too with glitter paste and I love the look of Kirsty Maluga's cheerful makes, pretty.

My article this month is the second part to my Lettering article and I have DIY chalkboards, cutouts and subway art tips to share with you all so hope you like them.

Hope you enjoy reading through this months mags.

Some Reading For The Weekend

So how many sleeps is it now? Not many and I still haven't made those mince pies. I bought all the stuff I needed last weekend but just haven't put them all together yet - Job for this weekend I think!

Well, in between mince pie making and eating (they won't last!) I shall be reading...

Ok, so I actually don't have a copy of this magazine yet, so might have to save a mince pie for reading it later! My offering this month is an uses for border punch article in it 'coz I can see it on the cover! Tee Hee.

Then I will be reading issue 47 of Complete Cardmaking

It's full to the brim of inspiration as you would expect from a magazine from Practical Publishing. I'm particularly looking forward to reading Louise Collins' article about Taking Photos for Digital Scrapbooking. Look out for that one!

My offering this month is a day in the life, so a look at my day as a freelance designer and there is a photo of me on the cover - Yikes! That was a bit of a shock when I got my copy I can tell you!

Munch, Read, Munch, Read, Munch - that is my weekend sorted!

Catch you later.

Reading For The Weekend

Hey, hey, hey, would you Adam and Eve it? It's the weekend! Well that kind of snuck up on us again, or did it just snuck up on me? I'm trying to beat the clock and the last post times to get some commissions finished before breaking up for Christmas, so please forgive me for being a little quiet on the old t'internet. But I've got some fun projects lined up so watch this space!

In the meantime I'm just dropping in with some weekend reading from Practical Publishing that you might want to checkout inbetween decorating Christmas trees, wrapping presents or whatever fun you have planned for this weekend.

Simply Cards and Papercrafts 118 was out in the shops yesterday.

Checkout the cute free digital Monster stamps from Kate Hadfield. My offering this month is a Sizzix eclips review with some cards and you can spot one of them on the bottom left hand of the cover.

Next up is Issue 14 of Creative Stamping which hit the shops last week (sorry, playing a bit of catch-up!)

Checkout the fabulous vintage feel cover stamps this month and I got to make some favours boxes with them.

There are lots of wonderful makes from lots of super talented folks in both magazine as always. I just love reading through my copies and seeing what folks are up too so hope you enjoy them too.

Mmm they might go well with some mince pies. I'm actually thinking of making my own mince pies this year. My Mum makes the best mince pies in the world, so not sure I can ever top that, but hopefully they will be better than some of the shop bought ones I've had in the past. Wish me luck!

Some Reading For The Weekend

Can you believe? It is the weekend already so I have some reading to catch up on. First up there is the new issue of the new Bookazine Digital Crafting Essentials Vol 1...

Lots of digital inspiration in this one, with some great free bits and bobs on the free CD-ROMS including some super cute Christmas Digi-Stamps from Saturated Canary. I was lucky enough to get to play with these and they are fun to colour. I haven't done any colouring for a while so it was nice to get a little practice in. I've also got an article with tips for taking photos for your blog and some Silhouette Cameo and Sizzix eclips makes too.

Next up is the latest issue of Creative Cardmaking, Issue 60...

What do you think about Iris Folding? Is it a technique you have used before? Are you a regular Iris Folder? It is a technique I've not used much myself, well, never used if I am honest but I've got an article in this month's issue of Creative Cardmaking with my first ever Iris Folding and templates I designed myself. So if I can do it, it can't be that difficult! It was fun actually, I like the fact that you can use colour to build the picture. If you want to see my first ever attempt at Iris Folding then check out this month's issue of Creative Cardmaking.

Final reading to catch up on is this month's issue of Complete Cardmaking, Issue 46...

There are lots of yum digital freebies in the cover CD-ROM with this issue including some papers designed by me. Hope you like them!

Right, well, better go get a cup of tea for all this reading!

Catch you later artinators.
