VIDEO: Try This Watercolor Painting Texture Technique

Try this Watercolour Texture painting technique, video by Kim Dellow

I love playing around with watercolor painting textures! There are lots of different ways to make really interesting watercolor textured backgrounds and features for your art journal pages, painting projects and even for cardmaking too, it is the medium that just keeps on giving!

So today I am sharing a painting texture that I have been experimenting with and I have a video showing all the steps that you need to get the texture yourself. I've used both a drawing ink and watercolor paint for my textures but feel free to play with what you have in your stash and let me know how it goes and which products work and which don't!

Once you have learnt this technique you can use it in your art and I can not wait to see what projects you come up with so do tag me in on your social media shares as I would love to see it, all my social media links are below. You never know, I might feature your work in one of my videos too!

So I thought I would make my Dad his Father's Day card from one of the texture swatches using the Dr Ph. Martin's watercolor paint as I particularly loved how the texture came out on this piece and I thought he would like it too!
