Quixotic Paperie Challenge Blog Challenge No. 6

Hey All, How you doing? It is the Quixotic Paperie Challenge number 6 and this week it is all about:

Stars

Don't forget that this month everyone is playing for a Mystery pack of yummy crafty goodies worth £20!

So here is my make for the challenge - A big Christmas Star! Ooo and if you want to see more Christmas Stars have a look at the one Kelly from Crafting Creativity has done!

This star is an altered wooden star from Quixotic Paperie, with one of the super cute angels from the CC Designs Sugar Plums Angel Emma Stamp set. Love!

I punched holes in the star with my Crop-a-dile and then covered it with Gesso (the star - not my Crop-a-dile! LOL!).

Then stamped out the music background on ordinary paper with Versacolor charcoal ink. Don't look too closely as you will notice that I stamped one upside down - Oops!

I then cut out a star to cover the front of the wooden star and started to add colour with distress inks and Brilliance ink. Then gave it a Gesso wash and stamped over with a crackle stamp and light distress ink.

Using diluted PVA I attached the paper to the front of the wooden star and when it was dry - well almost dry, I'm so impatient - I used my piercing tool to poke the holes through the paper ready to thread the ribbon through.

The cute angel is coloured with Prismacolor pencils and Sansodor and then added some shine with a wash of Brilliance ink. I've also used Pixie Dust Shimmerz Blingz on her wings. The final touch is a little bit of Angelina Fibers behind her.

Have fun with your star projects.
Kim
