Paper Make-Up Stamps Blog Hop

Welcome to the Paper Make-Up Stamps Fan Blog Hop!

If you have come to my blog from Glitter Goddess Meli then you are on the right track! If not then you need to start your hopping at the Paper Make-Up Blog.

As I am knee deep in Christmas cards at the moment I thought I would turn the very lovely Charity Stamp The Heart Fairy from Paper Make-Up Stamps into a Christmas Heart Fairy :) She is so pretty.

She has been coloured with my PrismaColor pencils, Sansodor and I've used Stickles glitter to add some fairy shine to her. I've used Glossy accents to add dimension to her heart and wings.

A little bit of Cuttlebug snowflakes made from vellum, white card, Stickles glitter, some mini-buttons and threads. The paper is from the My Mind's Eye Colourful Christmas pack and I've used the Bow-Easy™ Template to tie the bow.

You can get this cute fairy from Paper Make-Up stamps in the US or if you are in Europe she is also available from Quixotic Paperie.

Right your next blog to hop is Shana's Two Cute little monsters.

Have a lovely Paper Make-Up Blog Hop!

Whiff Of Joy Hand-Stitch Tutorial

Hey everyone, how are you all this Monday morning? Hope you all had a good weekend.

I have a card that I've made for the Whiff Of Joy Tutorials And Inspiration Blog today. Each of the design team and guest design team members have been writing tutorials and today is my turn.

So I thought I would do a tutorial for these swirls. You can see how to make them yourself over at the Whiff Of Joy Tutorials and Inspiration blog - I hope you like :)

The image is the Whiff Of Joy Santa Reading List stamp and I've coloured him with my Prismacolor pencils and Sansodor.

I've used pearlescent glue on his beard and fluffy stuff fluid on his hat and coat trim. I was going to fluff-it up but I decided I actually liked the way it looked unfluffed!

The paper is some of my own design distressed gingham papers and the fabric? Well let's just say that my boyfriend wont want to wear that work shirt any more - tee hee!

Have a lovely shirt re-purposing day!
Kim

It is the Quixotic Paperie Challenge blog's second challenge and this week it is all about

Stitching

Wahoo! Oh that is just one of my favourite embellishments to add on a card as many of you know! So here is my make this week. I've used the fabulous Kraftin Kimmies Stamp Maxwell, which comes with the Toasty sentiment, matched with Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Papers.

Shock of shocks I've not used Prismacolor pencils for this one but back to the Copic Markers to colour Maxwell and what a happy little mouse he is with his toasted marshmallow!

I've used a Prima Homespun Bittles flower and wait for it..... the stitching..... is a whipped running stitch and I used the Bazzill Basics Flowers and Flourishes template for the design of the stitched swirls.

Santa Breaks For A Cookie

Hello folks, how you all doing this afternoon? I have another Santa card for you and a real cutie eating cookies! How does Santa eat all those mince pies and cookies left for him? You would think that he would be rounder - perhaps he jogs or something?

Well this Santa is one of the cute Elizabeth Bell Santas from Whiff Of Joy and the Christmas tree charm is also from Whiff Of Joy. Have you seen the new winter kit stamps? They are so cute and you can get them individually now.

Yep - Prismacolor pencils with sansodor again!

But look at this perfect bow! I did that! No really! Ok so I had some help from the fabulous Bow-Easy™ Bow Tying Template available here.

Now when Elaine first mentioned it I was a little sceptical I will admit - 'I know how to tie bows' I thought, 'what do I need a template for?' But I watched the instruction video and had a go and OMG I so did not know how to tie bows!

This is so much easier and you get a perfect bow every time, you can do lots of different sizes and even multiple loops!

Right just off to put a bow into every piece of
cord, ribbon or thread we have in the flat :)
Kim

Materials:
Stamp - Whiff Of Joy Santa With Snack
Ink - VersaFine Onyx Black
Colouring - PrismaColor Pencils; Sansodor
Papers - My Mind's Eye Laundry Line
Usual Suspects - Paper trimmer; double sided tape; glue dots; silicone glue
Other - Charm; Bow-Easy™ Bow Tying Template; Gems; Jump rings; Ribbon

Santa Brings The Gifts

As promised a card - Wahoo!

Right, this card uses Jane's wonderful sketch from The Whiff Of Joy Challenge Blog (what's this? Two challenges in one week? - Shock!) and the super gorgeous Santa With Gifts Stamp is from Whiff Of Joy.

The papers are from the Basic Grey Wassail pack and a torn page from an old encyclopedia I picked up from a charity shop for 50p! I've distressed the papers with inks and my seam ripper.

Santa has been coloured with PrismaColor pencils and Sansodor.

The big flower has a yummy gold sequin centre from Prima and is available, along with lots of other colours, here.

Hope you are having a gift filled day
Kim

Edit - I've also added this to the Saturday Spotlight Challenge which is all about words this week! Thanks Vicki!
