Christmas ATC Swap

Katy from Craft Stamper put one of her ATCs up for a Swap on the Magazine's blog and I was lucky enough to be drawn from the hat :) So here is the ATC I sent her, and if you have not seen it already go check out the lovely ATC I got in return from Katy.

Civil Partnership Card

I was asked to do a card for a Civil partnership ceremony. Well actually I lie - I kinda volunteered myself with a rush of excitement as I've not done a Civil Partnership card before. The colour for the 'Civiling' (the name given to the ceremony by the happy couple - I think it will catch on) is red.

It was fun doing this card and of course I had to 'invest' in some new stamps for it - perhaps that is why I was excited - not that I need an excuse. LOL

Materials:
Stamp - CC Designs Glam Girls
Inks - VersaFine Onyx Black
Colouring - PrismaColor Pencils and sansodor
Usual suspects - 3D-foam; Double-sided tape; Silicone glue; Trimmer; Craft Knife
Other - Gems; Cuttlebug and embossing folder; Computer and Printer; Ribbon; Galaxy marker

And Now For Something Completely Different

Well it is still a card so it is not that completely different. So for something slightly different here is a lighthouse card. Specifically the Trevose Head lighthouse in Cornwall, I wanted a Cornish lighthouse as the person this card is for has a strong connection to Cornwall, I just hope they like lighthouses :)

Edit: Thanks Diane for reminding me to enter this to the BasicGrey challenge this week which is for the boys! Bless me I had checked out the challenges at the beginning of the week but was so obsessed with getting the commission done (well I had been mulling them over for a few weeks now and deadline was today!) it just dropped out of my head!

Materials:
Image - Sketched from a photo
Colouring - Caran D'Ache coloured pencil and blending stump
Ink - VersaFine sepia
Papers - Basic Grey
Usual Suspects - Trimmer; Double-sided tape; glue dots; Silicone glue
Other - Hemp string; Charm; Button; Fine marker

All Dressed Up

What is this? Another card that has nothing to do with Christmas? Mmm there must be something wrong with me. Emma from Sassy Crafts sent me some Dream Street Papers for me to play around with, I hadn't come across them before but now that I have I really like them. She also has a sale on the papers this week so go check them out. So what do you think of this classy lady? She makes me think of a little girl dressing in her Mummy's shoes.

BTW there is still time to join in the fun over at Friday Sketchers which this week is being sponsored by Sassy Crafts and there is a gorgeous Sarah Kay stamp, papers and ribbons up for grabs - Fab!

Materials:
Papers - Dream Street Papers
Stamp - Stampabilities Happy Hopper
Colouring - Prismacolor pencils and sansodor
Ink - VersaFine Onyx Black
Usual Suspects - Trimmer; double-sided tape; glue dots

Kaboodle Doodle is onto it's 11th challenge and this week it is all about Bling and Buttons. Well I think you can see the buttons? What about the Bling? A little bit of glittery sparkle highlighting some of the pattern detail on this fab Blossom Berry Bright Kit from Kaboodle Doodle. The image is also from Andrea's shop - isn't he cute?

And now a confession - I love buttons, I will even pick up buttons in the street - which my other half thinks is a disgusting habit. But it is amazing how many buttons are just running loose out and about :)

No layering for Stamp Something Challenge

A quick post before I go off to my Embroidery Group Therapy - Hello, My name is Kim and I am a recovering embroiderer :)

So today's card is for the challenge over at Stamp Something and this week it is all about being simple, and you don't get much more simple than me ;)

The simple they are talking about is only using one layer of cardstock. So this card is stamped and coloured directly onto the card. I've used fun flock and glitter to highlight areas, which you might just be able to see in the close-up. The stamps were actually freebies from a magazine (can't remember which now - please forgive me) coloured with watercolours.

Materials:
Stamps - Freebies from a UK magazine
Colouring - Koh-i-nor watercolours
Usual Suspects - Er...white cardstock; trimmer; Ruler; Glue pen

A PIF And A Sleepless Night.

Ok, so will someone tell me why I am wide awake at two in the morning? I went to bed fully intending to do the whole sleep thing, was even asleep for a few minutes, then BAM! I'm awake - so I lie there for a while trying to ignore the fact that I am awake but no good.

Well as I am here (and probably wont be in the morning) I have a PIF, or Pass-It-Forward, for you. I was PIF-ed (is that a verb?) by Allison over at Allison's Crafty Moments. So the idea is that the first three people who comment on this post will get some stamped images from me and then they have to do the same on their blog - offer a PIF that is, not stay awake 'til stupid hours in the morning.

It's a chain mail with stamped images :)

Right, gotta get me some sleep - if anyone could PIF that, I would be very grateful.

ZZZzzzzzzzz
