Back to Challenges

Here is my first challenge for a while. It is for the BasicGrey Challenge which has a fab sketch this week. I've recently discovered needle felting so was desperate to try it out for some card embellishments. The free bobbles are needle felted wool onto brads and then I made some mini-bobbles needle felted directly onto the ribbon. What fun. I think I'm going to like this craft.

Materials:
Paper - Basic Grey Mellow
Ink - Distress ink Walnut stain
Other - Red wool tops; Felting needle; Ribbon; Lace; Brads

Kaboodle Doodle Goes Fourth

So the fourth Kaboodle Doodle challenge got my brain really whirling this week. It is all about using something not traditionally associated with crafting in your project. What fun. It is harder than you would think, lots of things have been 'adopted' by crafting already!

Well have a look at my card can you guess what I used (the answer is in the materials list)? You can take the little animal 'flags' off of the card and stick them in something else e.g. a planter perhaps.

Materials:
Papers - Kaboodle Doodle
Inks - Distress Inks Black
Other - Cutton Buds; Notepaper; Coffee cup holder

Sewing Pot Holders

So what do you think? Do you think that everyone would like to have a pot holder for Chrimbo? :)

Not a card today but some sewing. Really must get some more sewing done. I have just loads of projects in my head but a lot of them seem to just stay there. Do you have that problem too? I have recently joined an embroidery group which is kinda like a knitting stitch and bitch but with embroidery instead :) I am very, very new to embroidery - have an awful lot to learn but that is what makes it fun isn't it?

AND get this - I was drawn in last week's draw on Friday Sketchers and won the fab Hero Arts background stamp. How lucky am I? It was quite a shock, I was just checking out the site for this week's sketch and saw my name - so was not expecting that :)
