Fiskars Fuse Creativity System And Some Demo News

Have you seen the new Fiskars Fuse Creativity System?

It is the new Fiskars die-cutting machine, but it doesn't just die-cut, oh no, it is a letterpress and embossing machine as well.

It arrived a few days ago and I've been having a play. I can tell you it is a big beast! But the mechanism for passing the 'sandwich' through the machine is as smooth as silk. I'm very excited as I've been wanting a bigger die-cutting machine for sometime now but to be able to letterpress without fuss as well - I mean how cool is that?

Ok so I'm not doing a full review here, I will play with it some more and give you the low down in a later post. But I will leave you with this little example of what it can do...

Oh but one more thing...you can get an adaptor kit that lets you use ALL the die-cutting, embossing, letterpressing products that you might have already from the competing companies! Seriously! So looking forward to trying that out.

Ok so I will be back with more info later, in the meanwhile I will be demoing the Fuse in Hobbycraft and you can see all my dates and places in the sidebar. My first one is Sat 13th July 2013 Hobbycraft Maidstone 10am - 6pm.

Thanks for popping by!

Ok, so you have another reprieve from my sample deluge!

Thought I might try layering up my Fiskars punches, what do you think?

Hey it is Friday! But not just any Friday - it's the start to a Bank Holiday weekend Friday! Wahoo! So what are you all up to? Will you get any creating time?

Whatever you are doing have fun!

Tree Crazy For Fiskars

I'm starting my bloggy week with one of my favourite punches and a tree! Do you remember a few weeks ago I showed a little three tree spinny card made from the Fiskars Cloud Squeeze Punch and a bit of ink?

Well my tree today uses the same punch but this time with scraps of designer paper.

You can see the full card over at the Fiskarettes forum, this is just a teaser!

Hope you have a wonderful week.

A Favourite Colour Combo For Fiskars

One of my favourite colour combinations today, but you will have to go over to the Fiskarettes forum to see it in full.

I'm on a mission to use up all my old designer paper so this project was perfect and using the Fiskars punches makes it a really quick and simple make. It's one of those designs that is quite handy to have a few of because you can use this card for lots of different greetings.

It's a 'go-to' card! Do you have some 'go-to' designs in your designing tool box? Reliable designs that you can make in batches for any occasion?

Have a great day.

A Little Note And An Apology!

I'm here with a link to my Fiskarettes make today and I've used a single punch again for this one and you can see all the details if you pop on over to the Fiskarettes Forum!

Hope you like it!

Before I go, someone was kind enough to leave me a comment on one of my older blog posts and I think that they had left a link for me to see some of their lovely work. I unfortunately deleted the comment by accident *Sigh* so if you are waiting for a comment from me - I'm sorry! Please can you leave me a comment again and I promise not to delete it this time! Oops!

Thanks!

Time For Some Fiskarettes

It is a snowy Monday in London and I have the perfect weather card on the Fiskarettes Forum today!

Perhaps I should re-title that to Come Snow Or Shine?

It is another Clean and Simple make but this week I've used two punches (last week I just used one, if you remember).

Have a lovely weather filled Monday.

In the meantime here is something for the Fiskarettes forum using just one punch.

I've used the Fiskars Scalloped Circles Squeeze Punch and you can see the whole project plus a step by step over on the Fiskarettes forum

So go on, what can you make with one punch?

Happy Birthday Pastels

Time for a smidgen of pastel today and a make that is over on the Fiskarettes forum so I'm only going to give you a little sneaky peek...

The whole make plus the step by step can be found on the Fiskarettes, I've used the Fiskars ShapeCutter™ with the Tags & Brackets Shape Template™ and a book page (again!) and even some of my own digital papers.

Hope you have a perfectly pastel Wednesday.

Playing With Circles - Part 2

Ok, so I have another circle card for the Fiskarettes, I've gone circle crazy! It is just a lovely shape to work with as a card designer don;t you think?

Last year I wrote a post talking about how hearts are kind of my 'goto shape' and lots of folks said that it was theirs too as well as stars, which is another firm favourite. But what about circles?

What do you guys do with your circles?

I might try seeing if I can use other basic shapes as the focus. How about a square focus? I can see rectangles being easy to make a focus off. But what about Triangles? Anyone ever tried to make triangles the focal point in a make?

Just some random thoughts running through my head!

Have a shape-filled Tuesday!

A Touch Of Colour For Fiskars

I fancied a bit of colour for my recent make for the Fiskarettes blog, so I thought I would try a bit of patchwork with masks to make a colourful background to stamp on.

Just a little sneaky peek again, the full make and step by step is currently on the Fiskarettes blog if you are interested.

Hope you are enjoying your post Christmas, pre-New Year week and getting some arting and crafting done.

Simple Sketchy Stamped Tag For Fiskars

I'm a little bit obsessed by contemporary sketchy looks at the moment so when I saw the stamp that comes with the Fiskars Continuous Stamping Wheel™ my brain went 'Ooo! That would look good just as it is with a touch of bright watercolour - clean and simple!'

You can see how I made this one if you pop on over to the Fiskettes blog

have some sketchy fun!

Bright And Cheery Fiskarettes

Who is up for something bright and cheery but with a really simple colour palette?  You are? Excellent, here you go then, it is my card for the Fiskars forum Fiskarettes.

I've used the Hero Arts Neon ink pads with the ShapeCutter™ tool and the Tags and Brackets Shape Template. I also used the Continuous Stamping Wheel too for this one but you can find exactly what I've done for this make over at the Fiskarettes forum.

Catch you later.

Fun Frolicks For Fiskarettes

Hey Friday Frolickers, guess what? I've got another in this week's series of heads-up for posts on other blogs. Ok this wasn't planned at all but it seems that it is my week for posting on other blogs elsewhere on t'internet!

So here is a teaser and if you want to see more and get the step by steps for this project then pop on over to the Fiskarettes blog.

I've been trying out the Fiskars ShapeCutter™ and Squeeze Punch tools to make this project, new tools to me as I had not tried them before.

I thought they fun and easy to use, once I got the Shape template the right way up that was, D'oh! The Squeeze Punch was very easy and it took some self-restraint not to go around punching flowers in every piece of paper I had to hand!

So how about you? Do you have these tools? How do you get on with them?

Just being curious!

Hope you have a Fun Friday Frolicking.

Now if you want to know how I made the card then pop on over to the Fiskarettes website to see my step by step.

Peek-a-boo!

The papers are Studio Calico with the lovely neutrals and funky chevrons.

So now you have checked out my hidden message I do hope you will stop by to say 'Hello!' :)
